Farmers are busy driving rumbling tractors to plow the land in the Lanzhou New Area, Northwest China's Gansu province.

"This year the Lanzhou New Area plans to grow 13 hectares of fruit corn and 73 hectares of soilage corn, with an expectation of generating 1.3 million yuan ($200,980) and creating 20 jobs for villagers," a cooperative director said.

A rainfall brought about the best time for the spring plow. The crop-planting team of the area's agriculture investment group jumped into action to plow 190 hectares of oat and alfalfa.

On the construction site of 174 sunlight greenhouses for rare bulb seedlings, staff from the research institute of the agriculture investment group came to the front line to promote production, and so far they have planted 600,000 hippeastrum rutilums in 41 sheds.

To provide more vegetables, farmers used the favorable conditions of the EPS modular sheds to plant celery in 31 greenhouses within just a few days.

In a warm modern farming industry park, technical worker Long Weili has been maintaining the lily shed. According to her, they will plant an estimated 300,000 Asian lilies throughout the year and 200,000 perfume lilies in the second half. They also plan to grow 500,000 newly introduced varieties of chrysanthemum, with 200,000 of them having been planted.

Experts and technicians have offered guidance and training for farmers so as to improve the service coverage of agricultural technologies in the area.
