Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province, ushered in its National Day Golden Week travel rush from Sept 28 to Oct 8.

During the holiday, Lanzhou Railway Station is expected to handle more than 500,000 passenger trips, with an average of 45,700 passengers per day.
Judging from the pre-sale of tickets, peak passenger flow is expected to be registered on Oct 1, with 60,000 tourists expected to pass through the station in a single day.
Affected by the spread of the pandemic, short-distance transport continues to dominate, carrying people towards destinations such as Tianshui, Longnan, Jiayuguan, and Zhangye cities in the province.
