Yuzhong county in Lanzhou, Gansu province launched an ice and snow carnival on Dec 24 to welcome the New Year and the Spring Festival.

Over the next two months, about 50 activities will take place, including ice and snow experiences and folk performances.

Fireworks and lanterns are put on display to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, while an amusement park has opened ice rinks, snow slides, snowmobile rides and mazes to entertain the public. The fantasy world combines ice, snow, sound and lights, and holidaymakers can appreciate many groups of art shows.

The festival will last until Feb 28, 2023. Organizers are projecting a maximum number of 30,000 visitors per day.
