Northwest China's Gansu province will be the guest province of honor at the 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade, which will take place in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.
Gansu is located in the central section of the Eurasian Continental Bridge Economic Corridor and serves as an important logistics hub connecting the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
The province has prominent advantages in mineral resources, energy, science, education, cultural tourism, and agriculture.
It is rich in mineral resources such as petroleum, coal, and non-ferrous metals. In addition, its installed capacities for wind power and photovoltaic power rank third and first in China, respectively.

Gansu has developed a complete industrial structure that mainly includes petrochemicals, non-ferrous metallurgy, coal-fired power, machinery manufacturing, electronics and electrical appliances, and textiles and food.
The province is also building six 100 billion-yuan ($13.87 billion) industrial clusters focusing on characteristic agricultural products, digital intelligence, bio-pharmaceuticals, new energy and materials, cultural tourism, health care, and the highway derivative economy.
Gansu is also an important birthplace of Chinese civilization, with diverse historical and cultural attractions such as the Yellow River culture, Silk Road culture, Mogao Grottoes, and Jiayuguan Pass.
Since the beginning of this year, Gansu has rolled out a package of policies to benefit and support enterprises. Efforts have also been made to attract investment through financial support and tax reductions.
It has been endeavoring to create an optimal business environment for business people from home and abroad.
