Come to Lanzhou and meet the "World's First Ancient Pear Orchard"

The ever-flowing Yellow River, after passing through Xiaoxia in the east of Lanzhou, Gansu province, nourishes a magical fertile land Shichuan Town like a caring mother, the "World's First Ancient Pear Orchard" is located here.

The total area of Shichuan Ancient Pear Orchard is over 8,000 hectares. It is a key production area for high-quality fruit in Lanzhou, with its Ruan'er pear and Dongguo pear renowned throughout the country. The ancient pear orchard has more than 9,423 pear trees that are over a hundred years old, and more than 2,000 trees that are over 300 years old. It is recognized as a "living plant specimen" by the international botanical community,a rare "pear orchard museum" and the "world's first ancient pear orchard" by Guinness World Records.

Nowadays, the Shichuan Ancient Pear Orchard produces over 2,500 tons of pears annually, bringing in a revenue of over 20 million yuan for local farmers. At the same time, relying on its resource advantages, the local area has vigorously developed three major industries: high-quality melons and vegetables, premium forest fruits, and rural tourism. In the past five years, the number of tourists received has surpassed 5 million.
