The China Dingxi Potato Conference kicked off in the namesake city in Northwest China's Gansu province on Sept 15, with 60 projects worth a total of $1.38 billion signed during the three-day event.

Under the theme of "Dingxi Potato Industry towards Internationalization", this conference invited over 100 companies that do business in potato planting, agricultural machinery, and food processing from across the country.

During the conference, diverse potato-made products such as Dingxi wide noodles with varying lengths, widths and preparation methods attracted numerous visitors who praised its taste.

A cold chain rail-sea intermodal train was just launched to connect Dingxi and Southeast Asia amid the event. It is a crucial step towards the internationalization of the city's potato industry.

Sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and the Gansu provincial government, the conference which showcased new technologies, processes and products, is expected to boost more cooperation in the industry.
