The Shichuan ancient pear orchard covers an area of over 800 hectares, with about 263 hectares housing 9,423 century-old pear trees.

In 2013, the orchard was designated as a "China Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage" by the former Ministry of Agriculture, and it also obtained the Guinness World Records certificate as the "World's First Ancient Pear Orchard".

In recent years, the Shichuan town has developed into a tourist destination primarily known for picturesque pear orchards, stunning Yellow River gorge, modern agriculture, and intangible cultural heritage.
