At Lanzhou New Area's planting base, 300,000 tulips are just about to bloom, and the workers are busy harvesting, trimming, and packaging to meet market demand.

These bright tulips, ranging from white to shades of pink, red, yellow, orange and gold, will be available at the market over Spring Festival, as well as for the later International Women's Day.

"In addition to tulips, there are more than 100 varieties of potted flowers such as succulents, variegated orchids, peace lilies, and azaleas in the bud-burst stage," said the person in charge of a modern agricultural industrial park in the area.

They are popular for decorating the home to add a festive touch and are often chosen as gifts for family or friends.
