On Feb 21, Yongdeng county's 2024 traditional folk art performance event unfolded as scheduled. More than 2,000 people from 11 townships, including Hongcheng, Liushu, and Heqiao, participated in the exhibition.

The performers dressed in splendid costumes exuded high spirits and radiant energy. Moving to the lively drumbeats, they performed with unrestrained joy, their smiles reflecting the festive atmosphere and filling the air with jubilation.

Amidst the resounding drums, the traditional folk performances, such as the dragon dance, the land boat dance, and the lion dance were presented, exuding a joyful and festive atmosphere, fully embracing the spirit of the Lunar New Year. The event was lively and extraordinary, filled with cheers, laughter, and the continuous beat of drums, as spectators captured these spectacular moments with their mobile phones.

Yongdeng's profound cultural heritage, with its numerous historical, cultural, and folk legacies, has given rise to the diverse and colorful Yongdeng folk art. The "Drunken Guan Yu" from Liancheng town, the "Iron Core" from Hongcheng town, the "Hard Lion Dance" from Chengguan town, the "Rolling Lanterns" from Zhongbao town, and the "Stilt Walking Bull" from Liancheng town—all are spontaneous expressions of Yongdeng's local culture, embodying the evolution and accumulation of historical and cultural traditions in this vibrant land.
