Museums in Northwest China's Lanzhou city, including Gansu Provincial Museum, Gansu Jiandu Museum and Lanzhou Museum, are buzzing with excitement with the opening of several new exhibitions, celebrating the region's rich history and culture.
Visitors are flocking to explore the bustling exhibition halls. They could dive into Gansu's vibrant heritage and enjoy a unique experience throughout the summer holiday.
In the Gansu Provincial Museum, the Ding porcelain masterpiece exhibit continues to attract tourists with more than 150 items. It will run until July 18.
Ding porcelain firing thrived in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). Such porcelain had the reputation of being "thin as paper, white as jade". The firing procedure includes clay wedging, throwing, decoration (carving, cutting) glazing, glaze firing, and more.
