This year was the first New Year holiday since the full opening of the Baotou‑Yinchuan High‑Speed Railway. The new line, which complements the Yinchuan‑Lanzhou and Yinchuan‑Xi'an high‑speed railways, stimulated travel demand in Gansu, Ningxia, and surrounding regions, becoming a key driver of holiday transport growth. Lanzhou Railway Station alone handled 470,600 passenger trips, a year‑on‑year increase of 24.31 percent, with 120,100 trips on Jan 1, representing an impressive 62.88 percent increase.

Faced with the challenges of increased passenger flow and snowy weather, the Lanzhou Railway Bureau ensured a smooth travel experience by adding extra train services and optimizing services where needed.
