Zhangye held an investment promotion conference on July 8 in Lanzhou, Gansu province, on the sidelines of the 32nd China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair. The event aimed to unlock the city's resource potential and channel quality factors into regional green and high-quality growth.

Situated in the middle of the Hexi Corridor, Zhangye has set its strategic course as an ecological security shield for western China and a hub for the modern seed industry, comprehensive energy, and international tourism.

The city has already built notable strengths in agriculture, renewable energy, and tourism. It is a national demonstration zone for modern agriculture and a core production area for hybrid corn seeds, with 13 agricultural products under national geographical indication certification.

It also forms a key part of the Hexi Corridor clean energy base, with three million‑kilowatt-level wind farms, six million‑kilowatt-level photovoltaic bases, and rich mineral resources.

As a well-known tourist city, Zhangye maintains a solid foundation for all‑area tourism with 23 national 4A‑level and above scenic spots.

The conference highlighted 363 key projects in the fields of new energy, new materials, equipment manufacturing, green computing, green chemicals, modern seed industry, specialty agriculture, and wellness tourism, supported by investment guides and a list of available opportunities.

Looking forward, Zhangye will improve its full‑cycle, full‑factor services and build a first‑class business environment to shore up investors' confidence and satisfaction.
