The Spring Festival spirit has well and truly arrived in Lanzhou, Gansu province. As the year of the Dragon approaches, the "old street" scenic spot of Qilihe district in Lanzhou, is bustling with visitors. People are immersed in the festive atmosphere.
In the past decade, international students have mastered new technologies at Lanzhou University and brought what they learned back to their home countries.
Northwest China's Gansu province saw robust growth in its foreign trade with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2023, with total import and export value expanding 55 percent year-on-year to 8.94 billion yuan ($1.26 billion), according to local customs.
With Spring Festival just around the corner, Old Street in the Qilihe district of Lanzhou, Gansu province, is now decorated with bright red lanterns and suffused with festive spirit. Residents are busy stocking up on essentials for the upcoming holiday.
