Qilihe district, one of Lanzhou's central urban areas, enjoys the reputations of "the hometown of the Yellow River" and "the capital of lilies in China". The district covers a total area of 397.25 square kilometers, including 56 square kilometers of urban area with a total population of 650,000. The district boasts Lanzhou West Railway Station, the northwest transportation hub in China; "The Yellow River Mother Statue", a well-known tourist attraction nationwide; and Shifogou National Forest Park, a famous eco-tourism destination both inside and outside the province. Qilihe is also the place of origin and main production area of the globally-renowned "Lanzhou lily".

West Railway Station CBD Economic Area
The local business zone centers around Lanzhou West Railway Station, whose north square covers an area of 4.39 square kilometers, and south square covers 2.14 square kilometers. The area prioritises the development of headquarters, such as R&D headquarters, commercial headquarters, financial headquarters and business parks, while boosting various industries, including business and commerce, culture and leisure, exhibition and sales trade, and high-end residence.
Santan Culture and Commerce Economic Area
This "new town of culture on the banks of the Yellow river" has a planning area of 10.15 square kilometers. The region focuses on the development of modern service industries such as financial business, cultural creativity, leisure and entertainment, in order to build Santan into a fashionable new area centered around modern commerce, residence, and cultural recreation.
Pengjiaping Sci-tech and Ecology Economic Area
The Pengjiaping region covers a planning area of 19 square kilometers. It focuses on two major industries; "smart technology" and "medicine and health care". The area will be built into an "ecological smart new town" with emphasis on ecological residence and sci-tech R&D.
A'gan County and Bali County Eco-tourism Economic Area
Based on Shifogou scenic spot, with a total planning area of 42 square kilometers, this urban garden follows the layout of "one Buddha, one axis, three valleys and four gardens". The area pays close attention to the protection of industrial heritage, agricultural history, and the fusion of folk and religious culture. It will create an ecological forest tourist zone that integrates cultural creativity, ecological leisure, exclusive health care, education, training and business conferences.
West Orchard Warehouse and Logistics Economic Area
Functionally positioned as the capital of lilies and logistics park, the region covers a planning area of 68.5 square kilometers. It is dedicated to building a rural complex with the theme of integrating the primary, secondary and tertiary industries of the lilies - planting, processing and sightseeing. The 1000- mu (about 66.7 hectares) international automobile industrial park integrates automobile trade, logistics, theme parks and cultural tourism, and the 500-mu (about 33.35 hectares) e-commerce, warehouse transaction and logistics industrial park transforms the west orchard into a characteristic town that boasts lily-themed cultural tourism and automobile logistics.
Huangyu County Poverty Alleviation and Development Comprehensive Economic Area
This football town and agricultural base has a planning area of 68.5 square kilometers in which to develop physical education, cultural tourism, ecological agriculture and residential commerce. This development aims to build an international football town that integrates sports, training, entertainment and ecological dwellings.
