A courtesy drugstore opened for service in Lanzhou's Qilihe district, Northwest China's Gansu province on Jan 21, to reduce the medical expenses of people in need and enhance their sense of well-being.

The drugstore is committed to providing free consulting and delivery services, as well as shopping privileges for people living in dire poverty.
Registered households and residents who are eligible for subsistence allowances can purchase some medicines at cost and buy conventional medicines at discounted prices. According to district authorities, they will enjoy more convenience.

Sponsored by the Qilihe district government and Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Co, a state holding listed company and "China Time-honoured Brand" company, the pharmacy will help consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and promote rural revitalization.
