A week-long campaign featuring to provide greater healthcare for women was launched in Qilihe district, Lanzhou, Northwest China's Gansu province on March 1, ahead of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8.

Sponsored by the district's women's federation, industry and commerce federation, Gansu Dearjoy Rehab Hospital held a health lecture and free physical examination for women on the same day.

Residents were able to ask for a doctor's advice after the lecture and exam.
The Qilihe Women's Federation will send condolences to women in need, stage rights protection publicity and other activities in the following days.
