Children take livestream class from space station

Students from Qilihe district, Lanzhou, Northwest China's Gansu province enjoyed the latest science lecture given by astronauts on board China's Tiangong space station on March 23, when they were quarantining at home due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

During the 41-minute lesson, which was livestreamed worldwide by China Media Group, the Shenzhou-13 astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu carried out four experiments to show physical phenomena only possible in microgravity, including liquid crystallization and a water bridge.

The content of the lecture has been selected from opinions and suggestions collected from the public, and has been designed in line with facility conditions on the country's space station.

The lecure, aiming to arouse students' interest in scicence, gained populairy among  local children, bringing lots of fun to them.
