Gansu province's first imported flaxseed distribution center was put into operation in the comprehensive bonded area of Lanzhou New Area on Nov 16.

The project, invested by the Gansu Miliang International Trade Co, mainly concentrates on oil crops businesses involving Kazakh and Russian linseed. After being screened, the qualified products will be distributed to markets in Northwest China and Inner Mongolia.
In recent years, the local commerce, culture and tourism authority of Lanzhou New Area has continued to increase investment, introducing three imported flaxseed processing firms and a bulk warehousing enterprise.
Since the beginning of this year, the area has imported nearly 50,000 tons of oil crops, a year-on-year increase of more than double the cargo weight.
The project is expected to further promote the agglomeration of the grain and oil industry in the comprehensive bonded area, and play a positive role in driving import trains and bulk distribution businesses.
