Month-long job fair to benefit firms, job hunters

On Feb 7, a month-long job fair was launched by the employment and entrepreneurship promotion center in Qilihe district, Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu province.

Its aim is to build a service platform for communication and exchanges between employers and job seekers, and to help migrant workers, college graduates and people with employment difficulties find work.

More than 80 companies participated in the conference, covering real estate, finance, hotels, education, accounting, sales, and other industries, such as the Qilihe Branch of China Post Group and Gansu Shuangkouyuan Ecological Technology Co. They provided a total of 1,871 positions for job seekers both online and offline.

Many of the positions are popular among job hunters due to matching their majors, providing attractive salaries, and allowing them to work locally. During the event, more than 5,000 people showed up, with 743 people potentially securing employment.

A consultation desk on policies benefiting college students, retired soldiers, and people with employment difficulties was set up onsite, and promotional materials were distributed to all participants.

After the job fair, the organizers will collect feedback from enterprises' and help them to accurately match human resources through a large employment system that covers the whole district, policy promotion electronic screens and other platforms.

This year, the district vows to make every effort to promote higher-quality and fuller employment. Qilihe will continue to focus on local characteristic industries, key enterprises and major investment promotional projects, in a bid to provide precise services for enterprises to attract talents.
